How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected firstly by you providing it to us. This can be, for example, data you enter in the registration field for our newsletter or the registration field for a waitlist.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior. With your consent (your registration on the waitlist or your subscription to the newsletter), your email addresses are stored for the purpose of contacting you via email. In the case of the waitlist, this occurs once at the time of the app launch. In the case of the newsletter, this occurs three times per year or until you revoke your registration.

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. Additionally, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Notice on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries

We use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries outside the GDPR. Examples include Notion, Zoom, and Hubspot. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these third countries. We point out that in these countries, a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed, and different data protection regulations than those of the GDPR may apply, which may not include comparable safeguards for data protection rights. We ensure that data transfers to third countries are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) (applicable to data transfers when using Notion, Zoom and Hubspot).

The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. • If the processing of your personal data happened/ happens unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend, or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your and our interests. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data – apart from being stored – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of significant public interest of the European Union or a member state.
